The element allows you to perform looping in XSLT.

The XSL element can be used to select every XML element in a specified node-set:

Note: The value of the select attribute is an XPath expression. This XPath expression works similarly to navigating a file system, where a forward slash (/) selects subdirectories.
Filtering the Output
By adding a predicate to the select attribute within the element, we can also filter the output from the XML file.
Valid filter operators:
= (equal)
!= (not equal)
< (less than)
> (greater than)
