Description

The max() method returns the largest of the given arguments. The arguments can be sequences.


Syntax

Here is the syntax for the max() method:

max( x, y, z, .... )

Parameters

  • x -- A numerical expression.
  • y -- A numerical expression.
  • z -- A numerical expression.

Return Value

Returns the largest of the given arguments.


Example

The following example shows the usage of the max() method:

When the above program is run, it produces the following result:

max(80, 100, 1000) : 1000
max(-20, 100, 400) : 400
max(-80, -20, -10) : -10
max(0, 100, -400) : 100
