ADO Update Record

We can use SQL's UPDATE statement to update a record in a database table.

Update a Record in the Database Table

We want to update a record in the Customers table of the Northwind database. First, we need to create a table listing all records in the Customers table.

If the user clicks the button in the "customerID" column, it will open a new file named "demo_update.asp". This file contains the source code that creates input fields based on the fields from the database record, along with an "Update" button to save changes:
